Words and Music Festival Launch

We'd like to invite you to you to join us at the official launch of the 19th Words and Music Festival on Tuesday October 11th from 6.00pm at The Red Cow, Beam Street.

We'll be celebrating the 19th year of this much-loved independent festival in Nantwich, and the people who make it happen. Join us for canapés and a glass of fizz to toast the start of this years events.

The evening will be opened by Mayor Kim Jamson and Festival Director Nigel Stonier, there will be live music from ragtime/blues guitarist Phil Brightman and singer Katie Brightman. This is a relaxed and informal gathering, expected to finish by approximately 7.30pm.

The launch reception is followed by our regular "Tuesdays Session" upstairs at The Red Cow. This regular event sets the mood for the festival, with an eclectic mix of music and spoken word from locally based artists. Especially for festival week, we have a performance from members of the fantastic Nantwich Youth and Community Centre “School of Rock” teens.
